AC Milan are closely watching the development of Sassuolo forward Hamed Junior Traore, according to a report.
The brace he scored against Atalanta showed that Traoré is in great form and he now has 7 goals for the season with 4 assists to add to that. Calciomercato.it report that he is in the sights of Milan as well as Roma.
Traoré began as a central attacking midfielder but he is now gaining a reputation for a player who can drift out to the left or the right, potentially making him a very useful and versatile player.
Either Milan or Roma, or both, will have to deal with Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali who is a tough negotiator when it comes to talents they have developed. At the moment there are no negotiations involving the Rossonero or the Giallorossi but requests for information have begun.
Sassuolo’s hope is that an auction will be unleashed and in the meantime Traore’s agent Antonio Imborgia is looking for the best project to enhance an extraordinary talent. However, he could cost €30m or more especially if the red-hot form continues.
He is on great form but I’m not a fan us spending big money on someone with such a short track record. Sure he could be a big talent but also could be the next Piatek, and I don’t think we’re quite in the situation to afford a gamble at that price point.
Better to spend €25mn on the more boring but dependable option of say, Berardi. Yes he’s a few years older but has plenty of time left at the top, and he guarantees goals/assists. Asensio is probably more talented, not sure if he is keen to join us though.
No way Sass is going to sell this guy.
Forget it.
Noa Lang is still a better choice.
No we are not interested. We will go for some unknown player to play RW.
