Le10Sport: Milan trying to bring forward signing of Saint-Etienne goalkeeper but price is high

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are interested in bringing forward the operation to sign Noah Raveyre from Saint-Etienne, according to a report.

Milan are continuing to scan the goalkeeper market and according to the French portal Le10Sport (via TMW), the Rossoneri are strongly interested in Raveyre of Saint-Etienne. The player has only one professional appearance to his name and his contract with the French club will expire at the end of the season.

As per the source, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara were previously trying for a pre-contract ahead of the 2023-24 season, but now they would like to close the operation as early as January.

The problem is the amount requested by Saint-Etienne, given that they want €1m in order to let their teenage talent leave this month. It is a figure which – considering the expiring contract and the lack of experience at a professional level – feels too high for the Rossoneri management.

  1. The only question is: is the boy REALLY good, regardless of his experience level? Because if he is, then €1m is a derisory amount of cash by contemporary calciomercato standards and the board can only be kidding…

  2. What is the urgency to sign another gk? We just signed one. Why aren’t we looking at a striker who all season long we’ve had to depend on giroud. How about a right winger who messias can’t stay healthy and saelemaekers is not th eman. How about a box to box midfielder? This is two seasons now that the January market opens up and we worry about players that will join primavera instead of somebody who can instantly come in and change things. We’re fighting for the scudetto here and knockouts in champions league. We’re not fine as we are.
