CM: Milan scout ‘several players’ in addition to Chelsea winger during Morocco-Croatia

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have scouts monitoring the first World Cup game of the day between Morocco and Croatia, according to a report from one journalist.

According to Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com on Twitter, the ‘spotlight is on’ Morocco’s opening group stage match against Croatia at the Al Bayt Stadium, and it is no surprise that Hakim Ziyech is among the names mentioned.

Milan have been repeatedly linked with a move for Ziyech since last summer when it appeared there was a chance of him leaving Chelsea and those links have grown even more intense given his lack of playing time under Graham Potter with the January window looming.

However, Longo adds that Ziyech is not the only player that the Milan scouts will observe during the game as ‘several players’ are being watched.

No names are given, but there are certainly some interesting names on both sides such as Josko Gvardiol and Andrej Kramaric for Croatia plus Sofyan Amrabat and Youssef En-Nesyri for their opponents.

  1. Gvardiol is too expensive. The others not good enough. Don’t want kramaric. He can’t score. Croatia has no good forwards. They won’t qualify for next round.

  2. AMRABAT!!!!!!!!!!! I know we have sandro and isma but just saying..That mid 3 in a 4.3.3 would beast..esp when we sell rafa and get a lw who can fit in to a 4.3.3. CDK can adapt to the cf or rw. Amrabat would basically be worth 2 positions..
