AC Milan are closely following the development of Racing Club midfielder Carlos Alcaraz and they like what they see, a report claims.
According to Calciomercato.com, Milan have cast an admiring glance upon Carlos Alcaraz, a 19-year-old Argentine midfielder who has become a star at Racing.
He is the latest South American based talent to come under the Rossoneri’s magnifying glass as scouts have have been following him for months and have drawn up more than positive reports on a prospect destined to soon head off to Europe.
Alcaraz is described in the report as a very strong midfielder from a physical point of view standing at 183cm tall, and he combines that with sound ability in the dribble phase. He knows how to interpret the two phases well and his 6 goals in 30 games show he makes dangerous runs into the box too.
Milan are thinking of the teenager as an option for the future, but Porto – together with Spanish and English clubs – have started contacts with Racing Avellaneda. The evaluation of the young Argentine talent is around €18m.
Benfica and Porto are almost always first to these kinds of players…
Agreed Anaximander, just like Enzo Fernandez we’ll miss out at the early stage. Given we don’t have the Financial muscle of the PL clubs (or PSG) would be nice if we strike when the player is in the affordable category, rather than wait for him to be fully developed and out of our price range.
Usually players like Liga Nos or even Ligue 1 teams like Rennes/Lille etc not just for language barrier but because they’ll get a lot of minutes. However in certain positions such as double pivot, we could have 4 strong options and they’d all get decent amount of gametime.
We missed on Fernandez bcoz of that snake R.Sanchez
We should have sign Fernandez right away, he’s much better than than Renato and he’ll be on his way to EPL in 2 years for like 60M euro
We missed enzo fernandez due to waiting for that crap renato . I hope management take lesson from that,never wasting time for player that uninteresting join us and just make us plan B
