AC Milan have sent a powerful message to their supporters on social media, urging everyone to stay strong during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Italy has been the hardest hit country by the coronavirus outbreak aside from China. As per AlJazeera, the country reported 345 new coronavirus deaths over the last 24 hours taking its total death toll to 2,503 – an increase of 16 percent.
Milan and Fondazione Milan made a €250,000 donation to help local hospitals, with players and staff also donating a day’s wages to help the cause and Zlatan Ibrahimovic launching his own funraiser to help Humanitas.
In amidst all the chaos, Milan have published a picture on Instagram with a message of strength for their followers. The message reads as follows: “Today’s struggles are tomorrow’s strength.”
The banner pictured reads: “Everything will be fine, after Istanbul there is always Athens.”
