Another report has emerged claiming that AC Milan are interesting in signing Aston Villa playmaker Carney Chukwuemeka.
La Gazzetta dello Sport credit Milan with an interest in the attacking midfielder who is just 18 years old and has been playing for Aston Villa since he was 12. However, now he really wants to change scenery and half of Europe’s eyes on him, not just because he helped England win the U19 European Championships last month, with a goal in the final against Israel and a place in the team of the tournament.
The report mentions some rather bold comparisons such as the one with Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba, who is his idol. Chukwuemeka is a profile that is perfectly in line with the Rossoneri’s vision which will unchanged even when the club passes into the hands of RedBird.
That’s why Milan are serious about landing him, while Villa has have trying since October to convince him to sign a new contract, as his current one expires at the end of this season.
Chukwuemeka has been comparing himself to Pogba but also the idea of following in the footsteps of Jude Bellingham, who has exploded Borussia Dortmund after having come through at Birmingham, the other team of the city.
Chukwuemeka has so far turned down any offers and is determined to change clubs, while from January he will be able to discuss a future abroad, possibly signing a pre-contract ahead of 2023-24. Now we will see if Milan move.
