It seems increasingly likely that AC Milan will return to the Champions League next season, which will be a financial boost. But it will not be the only boost they receive.
At present, it seems difficult to imagine a season finale where Milan are not in the premier European competition next season. They sit pretty comfortably in second, and there are no signs of them slowing down to the point of no European football.

As a result, the Rossoneri can begin to plan for targets, with a fitting budget in mind. However, that will not be the only money available to them.
The loan fund
As Tuttosport, via MilanNews24, writes, the financial foundations for next season are already being laid. In fact, the club are expecting at least €60 million to arrive, thanks to various clauses in loan deals which should be activated.
Alex Jimenez should become a Bournemouth player permanently this month, which is already a guaranteed €20m boost.
Then, Tommaso Pobega and Lorenzo Colombo are expected to depart from the Diavolo, which would provide another €17m for Allegri to make use of. Finally, Samuele Chukwueze’s performances for Fulham make it likely that he will also be redeemed at the end of the season, adding another €30m.
Allegri is desperate for a ‘top-tier striker’, as well as an experienced defender. €60m, then, should surely be a significant boost for those aspirations.

We all hope so… Milan back in UCL next season…
I mean, absolutely not how sales in football work, but sure Tuttosport, you do you. At least if the sales go through it gives a lot of flexibility for how to invest.
What is the point of this article?
Milan will only receive half the proceeds from the Alex Jimenez deal with the other half going to Real Madrid. The figures do not therefore stack up!
Anyway, forza Milan for a return (hopefully) to the Champions League.
every season we have a “war chest” . and yet when the window starts we go back to “we need to sell in order to buy” . OR if we have a target we really really want, we linger for months debating whether or not the player is 40M or 41M . For example, I do not see us getting another forward if Santi or Nkunku stay. Even more so, I do not see a midfielder if Musah stays (which btw, high chance he will be back)
Musah is unusable. nor here, nor at Atalanta… we will be lucky if EPL team takes him… sabotaging our midfield is out of the question, when we need just 1 more player.
We have 6 already: Fofana, Ricci, Bondo as box-to-box, Rabiot, Modric and Jashari who can be either vice-Rabiot (I still think that suits him better, lacks Modric’s vision to be a regista) or vice-Modric.
RLC and Musah have no place!
attack depends on Gimenez come-back; Fulkrug will be bought-out for sure. under 13M investment for experienced ST is fair price (gonna be 5th choice anyway)
Gila most likely option for the summer to complete CBs (20-25M is the expected price)
Alexis, Athekame, Barte are also staying, with Estupinan I think isn’t really liked by Allegri (Zalewski-esque player might come; maybe Fortini gamble). Even more if Barte is also a vice-Pavlovic. having 3 LBs isn’t that absurd.
aside from a striker, the rest 3 are in 20M price range. Well into our budget.
€60m is enough to pay Vlahovic’s salary over five years. We good boys lol
last season we’ve heard that we’ve huge financial profit & 80m war chest b4 they sell Tiji
we missed out on UCL and had to rebuild the entire squad… Ricci and Jashari were worth Tiji money
Based on the most probable loan redemptions, Milan is set to earn 67–72 million euros euros from permanent sales. Adding the 38.6–45.6 million euros that come from simply qualifying for the Champions League—participation fee, coefficient share, and market pool—and assuming Milan finishes second in Serie A, the club’s realistic transfer budget lands around 124–138 million euros.
Subtracting the €10 million already spent on youth and futuro signings, Milan’s usable budget becomes €104–128 million. It’s not a huge amount considering the scale of upgrades needed, especially at fullback, but it’s enough to secure a **€50 million striker and a €25–35 million center‑back, with some room left for salary adjustments.
If Milan wins the league, the total rises slightly to 128–142 million euros, leaving a net budget of 108–132 million euros after youth investments. Even then, it’s hardly a transformative sum given the number of positions requiring reinforcement. For comparison, Manchester United routinely spends 200–250 million pounds even without Champions League football, and will likely exceed that again with Casemiro’s departure and new revenue coming in.
This is why Milan must continue to operate with discipline. Until a new stadium is built, the club will always be balancing ambition with financial constraints. A modern stadium would generate 130–190 million euros annually through matchday income, sponsorships, and commercial activity—money that Serie A’s current TV deals simply cannot provide. The league’s broadcast revenue remains weak and will stay that way until clubs modernize their infrastructure.
If the top six or seven Italian clubs all build new stadiums, the league becomes more competitive, revenues rise, and the product becomes more attractive to broadcasters. Stadiums drive spending, spending drives quality, and quality drives global demand. That’s the cycle Serie A needs to re‑enter.
15-20M for Zalewski
20-25M for Gila or Lucumi both in their final year
25-30M for Casado/Perrone/Vermeeren
Fulkrug for 10-13M
88M for these 3… add RLC money and Gimenez if we are getting another ST… that’s additional 35-40M right there
Just sign Tonali. A player that should have never left in the first place. Just bring him home.
