GdS: Leaders of the Milan squad to ask Gazidis about a potential Scudetto bonus

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan suffered a disappointing draw against Salernitana but thanks to Fiorentina being the only other top-half side to win over the weekend, they came away having not lost ground.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), Milan believe in their chances of winning the Scudetto and soon the players could knock on the door of CEO Ivan Gazidis to discuss a possible prize for if they win it.

Some players have jokes about it already, such as Davide Calabria, but it is very much a serious topic and one that could be brought up in the coming weeks, perhaps after the trip to face Napoli which could massively influence the title race.

The word ‘Scudetto’ has already been written down in the contracts of Pioli and his players and there would be individual bonuses for winning it, but there is also the hope that some kind of collective award will be offered as an extra motivation, as if there wasn’t enough already at stake.

  1. I cannot understand this new generation of sportsmen.

They dont compete to win anymore just for rewards and money. This is disgusting!!!!

They should get a big bonus for the title, but then pay back the same amount for every year they got their salary in full and did not deliver a title….

    1. That’s totally out of the point, expecting a bonus has absolute nothing to do with ur claims. It is only natural for them to expect a reward. besides they all want to become Italian champion cause they all know that the trophy is more important than the so called bonuses.
