Sky: Milan take steps forward in Florenzi talks and aim to close with sizeable discount

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are looking to close the permanent signing of Alessandro Florenzi from Roma with a discount, according to a report.

After some initial difficulties due to injury, Florenzi showed his character and versatility through increasingly decisive performances. He managed to win the first Scudetto of his career as one of the leaders, so now the ball passes to the Milan management to decide what will be of his future.

According to what journalist Manuele Baiocchini told Sky (via MilanNews), Milan have made progress over the permanent signing of Florenzi. The Rossoneri are trying to get a discount and close with Roma at around €2.5m, while the price set last summer was €4.5m.

If Milan do manage to secure a discount and get a player of such versatility and experience at a cut-price fee then it would surely be heralded by the fans as another excellent bit of business by Paolo Maldini.

  1. With the way we are seeking discounts after every loan, soon nobody will be willing to loan is a golf cart with option to buy. Big reason lower clubs will dread doing loan business with us.
