TMW: Milan still keen on Chelsea winger as future under Potter remains to be seen

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have not abandoned the idea of signing winger Hakim Ziyech from Chelsea after their failed summer attempt, a report claims.

According to the latest from TMW, the Ziyech track has not been definitively put to bed by Milan. The clubs were in close contact during the summer transfer window but no agreement was reached and in the end Charles De Ketelaere arrived to strengthen the attack.

Despite this, the Moroccan talent remains in the Rossoneri’s sights to reinforce the attack in the January transfer window, when there may be the conditions present to sign him. A lot will depend on the plans of new head coach Graham Potter though, as he could decide to use Ziyech more.

Ajax are still vigilant on the situation too as they opened talks towards the end of the mercato in the hopes of bringing him back to Amsterdam but they too were unable to find an agreement with the Blues.

  1. He isn’t consistently good enough that his selfish side can be overlooked for Milan and where we want to go. Has beta mentality let him go back to Ajax.

  2. One of my mates is a Chelsea supporter and whenever they play we constantly text about how bad Ziyech is. HARD PASS on this guy already, I don’t know what management sees in him other than his inexpensive price tag. I’d rather let Saele have the minutes so he can continue to progress–he may finally be starting to figure out how to be an effective RW. Plus he can still play wing back if needed.

  3. The guy is ego maniac , he made morroco fire their coach who brought them to the world cup because he is a “star” there who got offended cause coach didnt call him in national team because of his no-commitnent for team, dissgrase. Not a team-player at all.
