CorSera: The main strength Milan have going into 2022-23 compared to rivals

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are once again not the bookmakers’ favourites to win the title going into the new season, but they have a particular factor on their side.

This morning’s edition of Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews) previews the new Serie A season which will start tomorrow, taking a look in particular at the battle for the Scudetto which includes Milan, Inter and Juventus plus possibly the likes of Roma too.

For the Rossoneri, the strength is certainly continuity because while it is true that the competition have strengthened and winning the title back will be very complicated, Stefano Pioli’s side are a well-defined team that has well-established mechanisms and a compact and close-knit group.

Moreover, the many young players in the squad have ample room for further improvement and this means that Pioli’s team can still grow a lot, so we might not have seen the best of players like Davide Calabria, Pierre Kalulu, Fikayo Tomori, Theo Hernandez, Ismael Bennacer, Sandro Tonali and Rafael Leao.
