Tuttosport: Milan have held talks over Polish defender but asking price is now €30m

AC Milan are interesting in signing defender Jakub Kiwior from Spezia but his asking price is continuing to soar, according to a report.

This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews) writes how Kiwior’s name has often been linked to Milan as a possible reinforcement for the defensive department, especially over the summer before Malick Thiaw arrived from FC Schalke.

The Polish defender is one of the leaders of this Spezia team despite being only 22, and he will also be at the World Cup with his national team captained by Robert Lewandowski who actually praised him recently.

The Rossoneri actually picked him out as being of interest during the negotiations that saw Mattia Caldara and Daniel Maldini move to Liguria on loan, then The interest was confirmed a few weeks later.

However, what is certain is that many other clubs are keen and now his asking price is not the €15-20m it was but is now €30m, and a good showing at the World Cup would certainly help.
