MN: Milan retain hope Tomori can shorten recovery times and play against Inter

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan remain hopeful that Fikayo Tomori can trim short his recovery time and make it back for the derby against Inter, a report claims.

MilanNews reports that Milan are hanging onto the hope Tomori’s recovery time could be slightly shorter than the 30 days announced by Milan after he underwent a meniscus operation following the injury that he sustained during the 3-1 Coppa Italia victory against Genoa.

The 24-year-old is eager to get back as quickly as he can and his recovery work has begun at Milanello, where there is the belief that he can make it for the derby at the beginning of February. However, this must also be supported by positive signs from his short rehabilitation plan and only in the next few days will it be understood how the return of the former Chelsea centre-back will proceed.

The words of Ricky Massara yesterday in relation to the potential signing of a new centre-back certainly provide a bit more hope.
