MN: Milan transfer target suffers serious ACL injury in Chelsea friendly

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan transfer target Armando Broja has suffered a serious knee injury during a friendly with Chelsea which may have put an end to his season, a report claims.

As has been reported by Milan News, the Albanian striker who has been heavily linked with a move to AC Milan as well as other teams suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury during Chelsea’s friendly with Aston Villa on Sunday.

As a player who was beginning to get some first team minutes under Graham Potter, it is devastating that he will miss almost the entirety of the second half of the season.

It is also disappointing from a transfer perspective as he was a candidate to leave the club in order to get more game time, but a January move is certainly ruled out and a summer one has now been placed in jeopardy.

Milan, as well as some Premier League clubs, were looking at signing Broja.
