AC Milan are still trying to get a deal done for Sven Botman but there are a couple of alternative routes just in case, a report claims.
MilanNews confirm that Botman has promised himself to Milan and he wants the Rossoneri, who he would much rather join over Newcastle United. Moreover, he is Milan’s absolute priority too because Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara chose him months ago and contacts with his entourage are still very much alive.
If Newcastle were to withdraw from the race for Botman – who has already told Lille he does not want to stay – then there would be an acceleration, though at the moment the Magpies have tabled an offer of at least €15m more than that of the Diavolo.
Gleison Bremer of Torino is the second option for Milan, because he is seen as a defender with characteristics already present in the squad. Should the Dutchman not arrive then Milan will turn to Bremer, but they could also go directly to a back-up centre-back and promote Pierre Kalulu to being a full-time starter.
