GdS: Milan trying for Club Universidad de Chile star but could be left frustrated

By Oliver Fisher -

A few hours before the end of the winter transfer market, AC Milan are trying to close a deal for Dario Osorio of Club Universidad de Chile.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via PianetaMilan), Osorio could be the Rossoneri’s last minute signing to reinforce the right wing. Dialogue with the Santiago-based club is continuing but so far has not produced the desired results.

The left-footed player has already scored 7 goals in 27 games with the first team and has made three appearances for the Chilean national team, but Milan have made an offer between €5-6m.

It is a figure which has not been equalled by Aston Villa so, the other team interested in Osorio, but Universidad may well decide to not sell Osorio now and keep him for another year instead. That would allow him to grow further, and next year they could sell for an even higher figure.
