CM: Milan plotting two departures to make room for a new right winger

By Oliver Fisher -

While there is a lot of attention on the takeover and the Scudetto push, the management are hard at work to plan how the squad will look going into next season.

Calciomercato.com report how the rumours of a bid from RedBird Capital to hijack Investcorp’s takeover does not affect the planning of Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara, who are looking to raise the quality of the right wing and only Alexis Saelemaekers is likely to remain.

That means Samu Castillejo should leave and he is already on the fringes of the squad having played just over 120 minutes overall this season. Milan worked on his exit in January and will do so in the summer. Returning to LaLiga remains the most popular option for the former Villarreal man, who has Valencia on his trail.

Messias also remains in the balance despite his 6 goals this season and despite the relegation of Crotone to Serie C. The latter makes it legitimate to think about a discount on the €5m option to buy agreed last summe but Brazilian has not fully convinced and three days from the end of the season the percentage chance of him staying decreases.

Two exits would free up space for a signing for the right wing with Domenico Berardi and Marco Asensio among the names considered, while we wait for the sale of the club which could shift the level of targets being looked at.
