CM: Milan have two young strikers on their wish list as an investment is readied

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are thinking about investing in a young striker for the future and there are two names on the wish list currently, a report claims.

The current situation is not ideal as Olivier Giroud is working overtime at the age of 35, the future of Zlatan Ibrahimovic is in doubt beyond the end of the current season and Divock Origi is battling numerous injury issues.

According to a report from Calciomercato.com, Origi’s injury issues before and since joining Milan have left them reconsidering how the centre-forward department might look moving forward, as they need guarantees from a scoring point of view but also a physical one.

That is why Milan are thinking of returning to the market for a striker to invest in for the future, and the two names that stand out on the wish list at the moment are Jonathan David of Lille and Noah Okafor, who scored for Red Bull Salzburg against the Rossoneri last week in the Champions League.

  1. You forget during the period while the Red Bird deal was conducted the New York Yankees, LeBron James as well as Drake have become part owners in Milan, do you think they will make an investment and not want to see it grow? Just to remind you, the New York Yankees is worth $7billion, that’s 7x the value of Milan. This is just the start watch and let things grow holistically.

  2. Scamacca won’t be cheap.
Okafor, Kudus and Gakpo are all great… anyone who has watched their performances in European competitions know how much talent those 3 have — none of those will be cheap. They’re all young and electrifying and any of them would be a great addition. Let’s see what the market bears and what Milan are willing to spend…

  3. Milan want young striker who is also tall and strong.

I have said it before and I will say it again: Origi is just for short-term, he won’t be the main striker for the project, he only bridge the gap and maybe replace Ibra role while Milan wait for either Lazetic grow into first rate striker or signing ready made young striker.

  4. Origi was already battling with injuries before joining Milan so I am confident that there were better options available even with his price tag!

  5. I wouldn’t go for Okafor. A striker with worse conversion rate than 36 y/o Giroud is definitely not what we are looking for. In fact, his goal against us was pure luck. A dribbler in the box isn’t what we are looking for. We already got too many of those. We need a finisher.

  6. then we go for GABIGOL, every inter flop always turn good for milan, and milan need to terminate ORIGI deal at the end of the season. he will destroy maldini and madara pedigree and credentials

    1. What?
You don’t have to speak about any league that way, and please, leave this Young talent out of your discussion.
      Kudos. M is just extraordinary.
Give credit where credit is due.
      Thanks.
