Tuttosport: Milan hoping to sell winger as Valencia express interest

By Oliver Fisher -

There is a lot of attention on potential signings at the moment but AC Milan are also hoping to sell players to raise funds ahead of the summer, a report claims.

According to Tuttosport (via Calciomercato.com), Samu Castillejo is ready to return to Spain as he is not part of Milan’s project and has not been for almost the entire season, with head coach Stefano Pioli barely using him.

A deadline day move to Sampdoria failed to materialise in January as multiple sources claimed he had doubts about the switch, but now a report to his native Spain appears to be on the cards, and to a city he knows well.

Valencia are currently the club most likely to sign him, and they are a club that already tried to buy him some time ago. He knows the Mestalla well given he played for their regional rivals Villarreal before his move to the San Siro.
