Sky: Milan very close to signing of Vicenza striker that Juventus and Liverpool wanted

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are seemingly very close to the signing of talented young striker Tommaso Mancini who would join from Vicenza, a report claims.

As reported by Sky (via MilanNews), there are still some details that remain to be settled between Milan and Vicenza regarding the transfer of Mancini but it now seems to be a formality as the Rossoneri moved ahead of the other interested teams.

In fact, the report even claims that the teenager is ‘very close’ to joining Milan, showing that the negotiations are at an advanced stage and should be concluded quickly.

MilanNews recently reported that the likes of Juventus, Sevilla and Benfica are keen on Mancini, who made his first-team debut on January 4 2021 in a Serie B match against Brescia. He was just 16 years old and there were comparisons made with Roberto Baggio, and while he also attracted attention from Liverpool a year ago he and his family decided to remain in Italy.

  1. Roberto Baggio? This guy is 190 cm, and a primapunta. The only thing that he has in common with the magic ponytale is a very nice touch and good technique.

With Lazetic, Colombo, Nasti and Mancini we are now well-supplie with young strikers.

    1. He was compared with Roberto Baggio at a young age because both were great talents coming from Vicenza youth system, not because they played the same way or at the same position.

  2. Good additional to Primavera Team. He has similiar playing-style with Ibrahimovic and I think he potentially can reach Scamacca’s level.
