Mediaset: Milan vigilant on Dybala situation – the reason Cardinale is tempted

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan could soon concretely enter the race to sign Paulo Dybala as the new owners want to cause a stir with a big signing, a report claims.

According to what Claudio Raimondi has told SportMediaset (via MilanNews), Inter’s proposal for a four-year contract at €6m net per season has not yet been accepted by Dybala and his entourage who are looking for more.

A stalemate has emerged, especially because the Nerazzurri have to make sales in the attacking department before they can welcome Dybala, given that Romelu Lukaku appears set to return while Alexis Sanchez, Edin Dzeko and Joaquin Correa remain.

Milan are vigilant and while there have not been any contacts yet, they are ‘carefully observing the situation of the Argentine’ because Gerry Cardinale – the RedBird founder – is very teased by the idea of signing Dybala as a way to announce the new ownership with a big splash.

  1. There us no news that Milan wants to make an “impact signing,” with them not able to sell players and buy anyone they want with the budget given to them. All you had to say was Milan is monitoring Dybala…….,as I did……day ago lol

  2. We are very good at monitoring situations. But first I would be happy if Maldini’s and Massara’s renewal would be announced…

  3. A player of this quality is 40-50M€ minimum, you can find talents for maybe 5M less. Signing him on free, and even if he had 6M+2M in bonuses, if he has for example 25 or more G+A would be ok. Even if we paid him 8M every year it means he was a beast every season and it was worth it. Even in his worse seasons he was close to Leao’s best, so 6M shouldn’t also be a problem for a player like that if he is under the bonus G+A.

  4. Signing Dybala is not free, he and his agent will be asking for huge signing fees. But if this Cardinale think he is smart about signings then OK get him. Dybala would excellent fit to our vacant AMF role.
