PM: Milan monitoring Chelsea developments and could go back in for €25-30m man

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are in the market for a forward that would give the attacking department a boost in quality, and a Chelsea man is reportedly in their sights.

According to a report from PianetaMilan, the Rossoneri management have their eye on developments going on at Stamford Bridge because Chelsea are currently looking to sign Raheem Sterling and Ousmane Dembélé this summer.

That would effectively free Hakim Ziyech and Milan – who chased him in the summer of 2021 – are ready to go back in for a player that Thomas Tuchel has only used sparingly anyway during his time at the club.

The Morocco international is also in possession of a Dutch passport and can therefore be registered as an EU player. He can play both as a right winger and an attacking midfielder making him the ideal mould, and though he has a deal until 2025 he could leave for a figure between €25-30m.

A possible loan with the option or obligation to buy is also possible and the Rossoneri will continue to monitor the situation.

  1. One of the most suitable players for Milan in terms of playing style: very direct play, dribbling, pressing. A bit underrated overall.
Not very possible to happen but it would fit extremely well to the Milan game. Plus he plays exactly on the positions we need desperately improvement.
For me, he would be one of the best moves for this summer (always given the circumstances).

    1. Almost 30 and he would cost like a top young talent, he is extremely injury prone, he hasn’t played over 25 matches in league since 2018. Even at Ajax. Overrated, he has been horrible at Chelsea. Rebić has the same output in this season and everyone keeps saying he was a big failure. Zyiech has 2 seasons in a row like that. I honestly don’t see any reason for Milan to buy him.

      1. Injuries is indeed an issue with Ziyech, he is a risky choice in this regard.
I wouldn’t agree on him being “horrible” at Chelsea – he was not given so much time and yet he has contributed.
But don’t get me wrong, in a richer transfer campaign, he wouldn’t be my choice. In the current one though, yes, he would be a good fit mainly due to his style and flexibility – always assuming the he comes with less than 20m or (much better) on loan with option.

  2. Loan 5m euro with obligation to buy 20m euro should be enough to take him from chelsea. He mostly play as RW so we can still CDK or dybala as AMF number 10 ( i prefer CDK though) . CDK + ziyech + one defender+ one DMF + theo deputy already enough for next season. 50m euro + sales player enough to cover all . CDK 30m euro ,ziyech 5m euro loan ,arthur theatre 5m euro loan with obligation ( if bologna give permission),theo deputy 10m euro . We can get money from hauge, duarte, caldara, castilejo total 20m euro and can invest in new DMF
