Report: Milan make €30m-rated West Ham winger a target ahead of the summer

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are interested in signing West Ham United winger Jarrod Bowen to reinforce their attack, according to a report.

According to MilanPress – who cite their sources in England – the name of Jarrod Bowen is now a target for Milan as the Englishman continues to have an excellent season for the east London club in both the Premier League and the Europa League.

The minimum asking price is €30m for the former Hull City man which represents an investment on par with what it might take to sign Domenico Berardi from Sassuolo, for example, but Bowen is younger (25) and has an impressive 16 goals plus 11 assists this season.

He has four goal contributions in eight Europa League games, becoming a key part of their run to the semi-finals, and he will be asked for a big performance again tonight as the Hammers look to overturn their 2-1 first leg deficit away against Eintracht Frankfurt.

  1. €30m?! West ham paid almost that. And now he is established in the premier league and scoring and assisting is one of the best in the league!

  2. I doubt West Ham would be interested in letting Bowen go, especially for that sort of money!??!
    Start the bidding at 60mil.

  3. Bowen would be amazing, and definitely better than Berardi, and much better than what we have now but I really doubt West Ham are going sell one of their key players for that money, they are not in a bad financial situation, they’re asking 100M for Rice so they don’t need to sell. They’re never going to let go a player like him for less than 65-70M.

  4. Guys chill, not every EPL player will settle instantly in Serie A, Tomori is probably the exception rather than the rule.

Bowen is playing well but Berardi is proven in the league, is a regular at international level and would fit Pioli’s preferred system well. Asensio has been inconsistent recently but has experience at the highest level, plus can play both RW and AMC.

I’d take either of those over Bowen

    1. Berardi is overblown. He’s 28 and has yet to show up for the national team? Milan already have ok players on the wing and could do better than him for 30m imo. Asensio would be a good addition though.

    2. it’s not about PL to Serie A — it’s just about a player who is good. He is talented and has a profile we could use at Milan

Anyway, not sure I agree with you anyway that Tomori is the exception and not the rule. Tammy Abraham is doing great at Roma and didn’t do much at Chelsea. Lukaku was great at Inter and not much at Chelsea this year. There are many other examples.

  5. These are the type of players that will make Milan stronger in Europe. Sorry to say it, but Serie A players right now aren’t what Milan should be looking for. We are a Champion’s League team and need players from England or Germany where they play faster and with more intensity. That is how we will start to dominate in Europe again. Not with Berardi and Scamacca ffs

  6. He really is a fantastic player; I can’t believe this report for 30M… no way that can be true. I’d love to get him; but I’m sure it would be much more expensive if WHU would even be willing to part with him.

  7. West ham buy Bowen for 25m euro and they are willing to sell him only 30m euro after fantastic season? What a rubbish media. It is like AC Milan buy Theo 20m euro and then sell him 30m euro , thats nonsense
