AC Milan are interested in signing centre-back Attila Szalai froim Fenerbahce but they face competition from England, according to a report.

Sky Sports in the UK are claiming that West Ham United and Newcastle United have both expressed an interest in Szalai, who emerged as one of the stand-outs during Hungary’s Euro 2020 campaign during which he played every single minute for his country.

The report adds that the 23-year-old is also attracting attention from Milan who are in the market for a new central defender as we know, and it is thought Szalai would cost in the region of (€20m) given his deal with Fenerbahce runs until 2025.

He joined the Istanbul club from Apollon Limassol in January 2021 but he has taken well to the step up and is now gathering interest from the Premier League and Serie A. He has earned 23 caps for his country, and his national team coach previously claimed that Szalai was joining Chelsea.
