Milan Women 4-0 Pomigliano: Dompig nets brace in dominant victory

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan Women put Pomigliano to the sword at the PUMA House of Football this afternoon as they emerged 4-0 victors after a dominant performance.

Chanté Dompig scored a first-half brace and then Ijeh and Vigilucci added to the scoreline in the second half to complete the rout, meaning the Rossonere have begun the second phase of the women’s Serie A season in the best way possible.

After wins over Sampdoria and Inter there was a need to continue the good form, and it did continue with a commanding victory thanks to some fine attacking football combined with defensive solidity.

As the official website write, Corti’s side didn’t run any risks and created numerous opportunities. It was an uneventful afternoon for Giuliani, who watched the front three play with real understanding.

From Nadim’s fantastic assists and Ijeh’s energy through to Dompig’s ability to be in the right place at the right time.

Valery Vigilucci’s first league goal of the campaign, which arrived just a few moments after her introduction, extended the Rossonere’s advantage still further and well and truly put the three points beyond doubt.

Milan sit top of the relegation round group with 24 points. Next up is an away match against Como on Saturday 30 March.
