This morning’s edition of La Repubblica (via MilanNews) writes that after having closed the deal for Luka Modric – with his medical and signature to come in the next few days – the directors are working on two more deals.
The first operation is Parma centre-back Giovanni Leoni, the 18-year-old talent that Massimiliano Allegri in particular is believed to be a big admirer of, even if there is a lot of competition at present.
Then, the other name that Igli Tare and co. are working on is Granit Xhaka, a Bayer Leverkusen midfielder that Allegri would like as the linchpin in the middle of the field for his new Milan.

Allegri always prefers experience. One of the main fallouts he had with Giuntoli was because he wanted to sign Pereyra because he worked with him back in 2015 but Guintoli wanted young players. Allegri is the type of person who would’ve bet big money on Inter to beat PSG because Inters team had experience
