Sport1: Milan would pay over €15m for Eintracht Frankfurt defender – what is stopping the deal

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are persisting with their attempts to sign Evan N’Dicka from Eintracht Frankfurt and may be able to do a deal this summer, a report claims.

The Rossoneri are in the market for a new centre-back having lost Alessio Romagnoli on a free transfer and a number of targets have been linked such as Abdou Diallo of Paris Saint-Germain and Japhet Tanganga of Spurs.

One player that keeps being linked – in particular by sources in Germany – is N’Dicka. According to Christopher Michel of Sport1, Eintracht Frankfurt are continuing to push for the sale of the Frenchman this summer given his deal has less than 12 months to run.

Milan are in the running to sign him and are willing to pay more than €15m, with ‘very positive’ discussions held between the clubs. However, the deal is blocked by the player’s agent.

Eintracht do not want N’Dicka to go into the last year of the contract and as such the feeling is that an agreement between them and Milan would probably be reached quickly, but it is up to the player’s will and his entourage.

  1. Frankfurt shouldn’t be able to qualify for the next cl Milan will tho so why you want your customer to stay to a club that can’t qualify (doesn’t have enough good players ) idk Ndicka should be a good option for CB he can play as a left back too

    1. Even though Milan is in CL, there is no guarantee he can join the CL squad if he move to Milan. Some players have to be excluded due to homegrown rule.

  2. Ilic did not look good yesterday. He lacks the physicality and speed we need to balance up our midfield.

And after having seen N’Dicka versus Real and Bayern, I must admit that I am a bit sceptical. His positioning was really horrible, and he looked generally as if he lacked self-confidence. But then again, maybe that can be fixed with proper guidance…

    1. He looked completed lost in both games. Was directly responsible for several goals. Slow, confused, and out of position. It would take a whole lot of training to make him even worthy to be the fifth choice cb.

  3. Give kalulu a chance more playing time will develop him his style is like timber and varane on cb milan should loan a player as a back up for kalulu he can be the next star
