Tuttosport: Milan to send young striker on loan in January

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan are set to send young striker Marko Lazetic on loan in January so that he can continue his development in a first team environment, a report claims.

As has been reported by Tuttosport (via Milan News), the Rossoneri want Lazetic to get more experience in a competitive environment rather than sit on the Milan bench or continue playing in the Primavera side.

The Serbian appears to have found himself in the stage of development where he is finding the Primavera less of a challenge than before but is not ready for the jump up to regular involvement in the first team.

Given Milan would like to add another forward to the squad in January, it means that the need for Lazetic as an emergency option is reduced and the door is open for a loan.

The 18-year-old has scored three goals in four Primavera games and has played once in Serie A.

  1. Less of a challenge? If he’s not averaging a goal a game it’s a challenge! At 18, he’s not likely to get playing time elsewhere. Milan need to copy Juve’s model and field a B team in the lower leagues. Get these boys playing against men.

    1. He’s not as good as they’re trying to imply. Matter.of fact it’s sad to see them hyping him. Like u said if it’s not a goal a game then yes it is a challenge. Just based on stats and if one looks at an actual game one can tell that he’s not head and shoulders above the Primavera competition.

  2. Send him to Monza so Galliani can develop him and send him back to ACM in a year or two. I am sure he will be able to score 15 goals per year in Serie A in his early 20’s.
