Milan’s 24-man squad for Verona trip: Rebic, Hernandez in; Reina out

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have named their 24-man squad for the game against Hellas Verona on Sunday.

Kick-off is at 20:45 CEST at the Stadio MarcAntonio Bentegodi as Milan are looking to make it two wins from their first three games in Serie A this season.

The game promises to be a difficult test given that Milan have lost both of their most recent away games against Hellas 3-0 and 2-1 respectively, and that their opponents have started the season well with four points from their opening two games.

The Rossoneri’s away record against Hellas Verona is also cause for concern as they have lost 11 and drawn 12 of their last 32 league games there.

Giampaolo did his pre-match press conference earlier on Saturday, dropping hints about what the formation will be and offering updates on the fitness of a number of players.

Here is the full squad, as the official site has confirmed…

GOALKEEPERS
Donnarumma A., Donnarumma G., Soncin.

DEFENDERS
Calabria, Conti, Duarte, Gabbia, Hernandez, Musacchio, Rodríguez, Romagnoli.

MIDFIELDERS
Bennacer, Biglia, Bonaventura, Çalhanoglu, Kessie, Krunic, Paquetá.

FORWARDS
Borini, Castillejo, Leao, Piatek, Rebic, Suso.

The notable omission is Pepe Reina, but Calciomercato.com claim that it is nothing to be concerned about and that the Spaniard will return next week.
