ML: Inter and Man Utd considering playmaker swap deal but Maldini could try a hijack

By Oliver Fisher -

Inter and Manchester United are looking at a potential swap deal involving two playmakers, a report claims, which could spell bad news for Milan.

According to a report from MilanLive, the two sides are thinking of an exchange which would see Christian Eriksen return to England and summer signing Donny van De Beek move the other way to Italy.

Recently several reports have suggested that the Rossoneri are in the running to land Eriksen, even if it does seem like a difficult hypothesis at the moment, but there is another reason why Maldini is watching with interest.

The report claims that the Dutchman could also be an interesting opportunity for Milan, especially if he were allowed to leave on loan. Of course, Maldini made it clear that there is no need to sign a player to play trequartista.

However, Van de Beek is also an excellent option for midfield, given that the Rossoneri are looking for a reinforcement in that role as well.

If there are opportunities to strengthen, the management will not be caught unprepared.
