AC Milan are one of many clubs in the running to land Real Madrid wide man Lucas Vazquez, according to the latest reports.
MilanLive report that despite the fact Zinedine Zidane has always used him, Vazquez is likely to leave Real Madrid on a free transfer once his contract expires in June of this year. The player wants a pay rise as a reward for his years of service to the club and for the versatility he has shown, but has been left irritated as Los Blancos have offered the same salary.
The club did not take that reaction well, which has led several clubs to approach the entourage of the 29-year-old. Milan have been following him for some time, the report claims, and given that Brahim Diaz is likely to return to Real Madrid and Samu Castillejo’s uncertain future, he is at the top of the club’s wish list with Maldini ‘ready to attack’.
Valencia, Sevilla, Napoli and Everton are also in the running for Vazquez, who has 24 appearances and 2 goals in the current season, having made 5 Champions League appearances.
