ML: Milan’s probable XI to face Bologna – Dilemmas for Pioli as Saelemaekers returns

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli has a couple of selection dilemmas to resolve ahead of the game against Bologna on Saturday.

Milan will be looking to build upon their impressive run since the resumption of Serie A, during which they have not lost a game and have beaten the likes of Roma, Lazio, Juventus and most recently Parma.

According to MilanLive, there may be a change to the back four for the game against Bologna, with Davide Calabria set to get the nod at right-back over Andrea Conti.

In midfield, Franck Kessie should be partnered once again by Ismael Bennacer in the engine room, while ahead of them Alexis Saelemaekers returns from suspension and should feature wide on the right.

Hakan Calhanoglu will remain as the playmaker, while Ante Rebic can take a spot on the left supporting Zlatan Ibrahimovic. If the Swede were to start from the bench, Rebic would move to playing as the striker with Bonaventura coming into the trident.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Donnarumma; Calabria (Conti), Kjaer, Romagnoli, Theo Hernandez; Bennacer, Kessie; Saelemaekers, Calhanoglu, Rebic; Ibrahimovic.
