ML: Milan’s probable XI vs. Juventus – Four changes including Paqueta on the wing

The AC Milan squad were back at Milanello on Monday afternoon to begin preparations for Thursday’s Coppa Italia semi-final first leg against Juventus.

The Rossoneri returned to the training ground – led of course by head coach Stefano Pioli – after experiencing a capitulation in Sunday’s derby defeat to Inter.

As per a report from MilanLive, in the morning the team was divided into two groups: those who played yesterday had a cool-down job while the others carried out the full training schedule.

The report adds that, in view of the Juve game, Pioli should make some changes his starting XI – though he is ready to confirm the 4-2-3-1/4-4-1-1 system he used against Inter and one which worked so well in the first half.

In defence Davide Calabria and Mateo Musacchio should return in place of Andrea Conti and Simon Kjaer respectively. In midfield  he will have to stick with Franck Kessie and Ismael Bennacer due to a lack of depth, with Rade Krunic not yet fit to start.

There will be a possible chance for Lucas Paqueta from the 1st minute, perhaps in the role of right wing in place of Samu Castillejo. Ibrahimovic will remain in the centre of the attack, with Rafael Leao and Hakan Calhanoglu completing the XI.

Milan’s possible 11 against Juventus (4-2-3-1): G. Donnarumma; Calabria, Musacchio, Romagnoli, Hernandez; Bennacer, Kessie; Paquetà, Calhanoglu, Leao; Ibrahimovic.
