ML: Pioli’s dilemma ahead of Juventus clash – six players risk suspension; the likely XI

By Oliver Fisher -

Stefano Pioli has some food for thought, as Milan have six players who are at risk of missing the second leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final against Juventus.

The Rossoneri will be hoping to put Sunday’s derby defeat against Inter behind them when they host Juve on Thursday night at San Siro, with a crowd of around 70,000 expected.

However, as MilanLive.it note, there are six players who – should they pick up a booking during the game – would miss the second leg.

Among those is Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who should play from the first minute despite everything. Along with him there is Samu Castillejo, Ante Rebic, Theo Hernandez and Simon Kjaer. There would also be Rade Krunic on this list, but he is unlikely to feature at present.

Despite this slight emergency, Pioli cannot do without his star players. They are all important for the tie and will take the field, with only Rebic who could possibly enjoy a rest in favour of Giacomo Bonaventura.

Meanwhile, the coach is still thinking about the 4-4-1-1 seen in the derby on Sunday evening, the report adds.

Probable Milan XI (4-4-1-1): Donnarumma; Conti, Musacchio, Romagnoli, Theo Hernandez; Castillejo, Kessie, Bennacer, Bonaventura; Calhanoglu; Ibrahimovic.
