AC Milan should complete the signing of Sergino Dest from FC Barcelona before the transfer window closes tonight, according to a report.
The news broke last night from various sources that Milan have acted quickly following Alessandro Florenzi’s injury and are close to signing Dest as cover for the right-back role, and further confirmations are now arriving.
According to MilanNews, Milan have indeed found an agreement with Barcelona for Sergino Dest. The Rossoneri have closed the deal with the Blaugrana on the basis of a loan with option to buy set at €20m.
Not only that, but the report also mentions how Milan will pay the entire salary of the player too, with Dest expected in Italy today to undergo his medicals and sign his contract ahead of joining for at least the rest of the season.
Florenzi is expected to miss at least two months with a bad muscle injury, so it is an area the management have chosen to address.
He can play RB, LB and RW, all of the positions we need backup for, maybe even start as RW. I think this is one of the best transfers of M&M.
He has a high salary now, but after we make the move permanent, Maldini will negociate a new salary. Maybe by then we’ll have more money and he can keep his salary.
