AC Milan have had virtually no luck when it comes to injuries this season, and one man who has suffered more than most is Ismael Bennacer.
As MilanNews writes, Bennacer has missed 16 games so far on the current campaign. The Algerian’s return is close and as such the excitement can build again, especially because the data shows how important he has been for the team.
In view of the return leg against Manchester United on Thursday night, the return of Ibrahimovic and Bennacer brings confidence back to Pioli’s team. The many muscle injuries and the long absence from the field means that some have forgotten what the former Empoli man is capable of, so in many ways this could be the perfect stage to come back to.
When Pioli’s team have had Bennacer, they won 65% of the games while without him the figure drops to 57%. The average points with the Algerian, in this sense, is 2.2 per game while without Bennacer it is lowered to 1.4 points. Beyond the importance of numbers, Bennacer’s role in the Rossoneri’s game plan both with and without the ball is crucial – let’s hope we see that again starting on Thursday.
Bad choice. Bennacer is better than Tonali at this moment in time overall, but Tonali is in great form and Bennacer looked awful the first time he played after injury… this is not the game to bring him back again. If he does come back then I wish all the best but I think this is not a great call

Personally I wush Milan hire Gasparimi instead. He is genius. Deploying players smartly. And Milan can easily play 3-5-2 with 2 teams in disposal
