MN: Brest set asking price for talented youngster following Milan interest

By Ben Dixon -

Ahead of the January mercato, AC Milan have been extensively linked with signing defenders. However, it seemed as though they would instead look to the loan market rather than a permanent signing. But as has been the message throughout, if the right opportunity arises Milan will act.

Ahead of the January mercato opening, Milan’s defence looks slim. Malick Thiaw, Pierre Kalulu and Fikayo Tomori are all sidelined, leaving very few options for Stefano Pioli to choose from.

Whilst Jan-Carlo Simic has been somewhat of a revelation and has shown signs of promise, Pioli will be reluctant to throw him into the deep end consistently too soon. As such, the Rossoneri could look to strengthen their defence with a young French talent.

As reported by MilanNews, Lilian Brassier, the Brest defender, is becoming a more concrete target for the club. Recently, the French outfit has placed a €10million price tag for the youngster, born in 1999.

He has already made 93 appearances in Ligue 1 as a central defender. Additionally, he has also been deployed as a left-back, which offers further cover for Theo Hernandez, something the club are keen to add.

  1. Never heard of him but this is the type of players I was expecting Moncada to get. Not players I know. Anyway, I’m 100% sure his name is not Liliana but Lilian, so correct it.
