AC Milan are growing increasingly confident that they will be able to secure a deal with Porto for Iranian striker Mehdi Taremi in the region of €15m, a report claims.
As has been reported by Milan News, the Rossoneri are getting closer and closer to ensuring that they have extra depth in attack behind Olivier Giroud.
The Frenchman has made a great start to the season with three goals in two games, but everyone knows that he cannot be relied on to start all the way through the campaign.
That is why Taremi is being targeted in the last week of the transfer window, having been linked in the past.
The agreement between the two clubs is now very close and Wednesday could be the decisive day. The deal is expected to cost Milan around €15m as well as some bonuses.
He could be Milan’s final arrival of a busy summer transfer window.
There goes the notion of buying any new hottest prospects for the next 2 years. Hope he makes me forget quickly.
If the management decides to sell Colombo to Monza next season or if Giroud decides to step down from football, we automatically have to buy a new Forward. Pretty sure the management has taken this into consideration.
I think Colombo should be given a chance next year. While Taremi can still perform at high level for 2-3 years. Also for 15M the management has done a good job, seeing how much other clubs are spending on players.
We need experience up front and for 15 millions this is a steal.
Ok, 15M sounds better.
Giroud and Taremi and okafor as 3rd option if need be.
Depth ftw
