AC Milan finalised all of the details needed to sign Luka Romero on a free transfer from Lazio on Thursday morning, a report claims.
As has been reported by Milan News, the free transfer was finalised on Thursday and now it is just a case of the player having his medical and signing the contracts, followed by an official announcement.
The Argentine midfielder also has a Spanish passport and does not count towards Milan’s crop of non-EU signings. He is expected to sign a four-year contract until 2027.
His level of involvement with the first team is yet to be determined as he is just 18 years of age. He does have some first-team experience with Lazio but Stefano Pioli will likely assess him during the pre-season friendlies before deciding what his level is.
Romero is best known for his superb dribbling ability and Pioli will hope to turn him into a star within a few years.
Even if he doesn’t have Spanish passport, he is in Lazio squad list at 30 June 2023 so it is considered domestic signing which doesn’t have non-EU limitation.
Pioli does not integrate players well.
Understating the fact. 🙂
Let’s hope this kid doesn’t suffer the Adli fate…
The whole idea of Furlani and Moncada working with Pioli directly was to address Pioli’s needs. If Romero is coming, hopefully that means Mister assessed what he can bring to the table and deciced for it, unlike the Adli situation. Because if not, then what’s the point of this TriCycle?
I think struggled to integrate young players that were thrust upon him, now that he has an obvious input it should prove beneficial
