MN: €35m playmaker wants to force his hand after learning of Milan’s interest – the situation

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are indeed interested in signing attacking midfielder Nikola Vlasic but are not close to getting a deal done, a report claims.

According to MilanNews, the Croatia international represents a profile that the management have really liked and have followed for some time. Back in May and June he was included in the list of possible attacking midfielders if Hakan Calhanoglu were to leave, and now Milan are carrying out a real search for his replacement, Vlasic’s name has re-emerged.

There was a call with CSKA Moscow but the first demands were very high, as the Russian club ask for around €30-35m to sell the 23-year-old. However, the player has sensed the opportunity to join Milan and would like to force his hand.

The Rossoneri have offered a paid loan with option to buy, but the Moscow side would not be inclined to let Vlasic leave with these conditions. The clubs will try to find an agreement in the coming days, but a different formula with different figures is probably needed.

  1. Players intention to join is a good news for Milan because he will not demand much in wages and his transfer fee will really be reduced. Maldini please sign him, he’s a huge upgrade for Hakan
