MN: Elliott have pumped €640m into Milan with more to come – January additions targeted

By Oliver Fisher -

Elliott Management Corporation have already invested a huge amount into AC Milan to help them become financially stable, but they are unlikely to stop there.

According to MilanNews, Elliott’s recruitment strategy has been clear from the start: they want to make long-term investments in promising and talented young players, occasionally adding players of experience such as Ibrahimovic and Kjaer to balance the group.

It has not been a totally smooth road so far especially given the start to the 2019-20 season, but the feeling is that the benefits of such a plan are beginning to bear fruit.

What Milan have is an interesting project based on prudent investments, the report claims, and while it is now impossible to imagine the idea of spending ridiculous amounts on players given the budget and the effect COVID-19 has had, Milan fans can still rest easy that useful additions will be made.

In two years of management Elliott have invested €640million into the club’s coffers and will continue to do so. In the winter window further measures are planned to improve the squad and increase the chances of a return to the Champions League.
