MN: First tests positive for Hernandez; no fractures

By Isak Möller -

At 03:00, Milan took on Bayern Munich in their first game of the International Champions Cup tour this summer, losing by the odd goal as Goretzka scored the winner.

Unfortunately, the Rossoneri’s new signing Theo Hernandez was forced to leave the pitch on a stretcher after sustaining an injury to his ankle, following a bursting run down the flank.

The Spaniard had done really well up until that point, and despite going off just before half-time, he managed to win the MOTM award in our player ratings of the game, which you can find here

This morning, MilanNews.it reported that Hernandez was taken to hospital for tests. Luckily, the first tests ruled out any fractures to his ankle, though he’s suffering from a sprained right ankle. Most likely, he will be rested for the Benfica clash on Sunday.
