MN: Ibrahimovic’s return imminent as Cardinale is ready to close the deal

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is in talks with Gerry Cardinale and RedBird over a return to AC Milan, after leaving the club at the end of last season. Talks are proceeding, per a report, and the matter could be concluded very soon.

Ibrahimovic had a meeting with Cardinale on Monday evening, which was very positive, and the talks have continued since. High on yesterday’s win against PSG, the American wants to secure the Swede’s return as soon as possible.

According to MilanNews, the talks are proceeding well and the latest indications suggest that the negotiation could be concluded fairly quickly. Ibrahimovic’s return to Milan, as a consultant for RedBird, is thus imminent by the sounds of it.

The parties have been in talks for several months now and it’s not like this opportunity has come out of nowhere. The role has been the most important point for Ibrahimovic as he wants to make a difference, and not just be a brand ambassador.

In the meantime, Stefano Pioli and his men will have to use the confidence boost gained yesterday to beat Lecce at the weekend. After three games without a win, the Rossoneri need to send a signal to their rivals at the top.
