MN: Lazio youngster’s medical expected this week before joining Milan

By Euan Burns -

Lazio youngster Luka Romero is expected to have his medical with AC Milan in the next couple of days before he is announced as a new signing, a report claims.

As has been reported by Milan News, the Italian attacking midfielder is arriving at Milan on a free transfer after Lazio could not find an agreement to extend his contract.

Romero is just 18 years old and is going to become the third arrival for the first team of the summer, with Marco Sportiello and Ruben Loftus-Cheek already signing for the Rossoneri.

It is not immediately clear what sort of a role he will play between the first team and the Primavera side but assuming he is a Milan player by the end of the week, he will be able to try and impress Stefano Pioli during preseason.

With Brahim Diaz gone, there is space in that area of the team to exploit for Romero.

  1. I was thinking he is primarily a RW.
This should mean Messias shown the exit door already, I think he’s mature enough for the first team.

    1. He under performed, so they didnt want to pay comissions and spend more money on him. He still has a lot of room for improvment tho.
