The Portugal U21 international became the Rossoneri’s fourth signing of the summer last week when he joined from Lille on a five-year deal.

The fee is believed to be around €30m-plus-bonuses, and he met up with the team in Cardiff ahead of Saturday’s penalty defeat to Manchester United in the International Champions Cup.

Reports emerged on Thursday stating that the Milan staff have been left impressed by Leao as he has displayed three key qualities so far.

On Friday, MilanNews.it also state that the news filtering out of Milanello about Leão is good.

The former Sporting CP striker is ‘giving excellent answers to the technical staff’ as he is being deployed as a second striker.

The report adds that he Leao is currently being viewed as the ‘right man to play paired with Piatek’.

Meanwhile the report goes on to add that Franck Kessie – who has recently returned after the African Cup of Nations – is doing personalised work alongside new signing Leo Duarte. Both will miss Saturday’s friendly in Kosovo.
