MN: Milan have alternative to Buongiorno in mind if Torino defender can’t be signed

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan know which player they will pursue if the move for Torino defender Alessandro Buongiorno does not come off in the coming weeks, a report claims.

As has been reported by Milan News, the Rossoneri are very keen to get a deal for Buongiorno over the line but they know that alternative targets are needed.

It seems that, despite the widely reported interest in Stade Brest’s Lilian Brassier, Sevilla’s Tanguy Nianzou could be the ideal player for Milan to turn to if a deal is not struck with Torino.

It may take €25-30m for Milan to sign Buongiorno, although they are looking to include Lorenzo Colombo in the deal as well.

Nianzou is a 2002-born defender who used to be on the books of Paris Saint-Germain. He was being followed closely by Milan before he made a free transfer to Bayern Munich.

He left the German side in the summer of 2022 for Sevilla, looking to get his career back on track. His first season in Spain was great, but this year he has struggled for fitness and there is now scope for him to be loaned out.

Milan could secure a loan for him whilst waiting to sign Buongiorno in the summer.

  1. No, no, no not Nianzou, bloody awful injury prone reject. Would rather have noone than him.
If we insist on getting someone then it must be Buongiorno. Would prefer to keep Colombo, give Torino Kalulu or even better give them Chuk and we can pay the balance !!
