MN: Milan boosted by the return of centre-back to partial group training

By Ben Dixon -

AC Milan’s defensive crisis seems to be near its end, as a report has confirmed that another of their defenders is nearing a return.

Unfortunately, there have been very few positive things to remember this season, and the reasoning for that can be linked to Milan’s defensive crisis that tore apart Stefano Pioli’s defensive options for a prolonged period.

Fikayo Tomori, Malick Thiaw and Pierre Kalulu have spent extended periods sidelined this season. Recently, Malick Thiaw has returned to the squad, and another of the trio is nearing a return.

MilanNews reports Kalulu has returned to partial group training after recovering from his hamstring injury. During today’s training session at Milanello, the Frenchman worked with the group in parts four months after his last session.

The report continues, saying that the defender’s performance in the session was received very positively by Pioli and the medical staff, and a return can be expected soon, which signifies the end is near for Milan’s defensive injury woes.
