One of the signings that AC Milan simply has to get right during the summer window is that of a centre-forward, and there are a couple of names that stand out.
According to MilanNews, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara have been busy recently with meetings and discussions with agents to get a complete overview of the strikers in the European scene that might fall into their parameters.
Sources in Spain have told them that a meeting recently took place for Nicolas Jackson of Villarreal. The 21-year-old Senegalese striker – who has a contract expiring in 2026 – can play more than one role in the attacking department.
There are also Premier League clubs on Jackson’s trail, which is perhaps to be expected after a season in which he scored 12 goals and added 5 assists in 37 games across all competitions.
Milan are evaluating and observing his situation, as well as for other strikers who have been linked in recent days, above all Lois Openda of RC Lens who has had a ‘super season’ in France.
Marko Arnautovic is a name that cannot be discarded, as Maldini and Massara think he could be useful to cover the possible departure of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
