AC Milan are closed to surpassing the number of season ticket holders they amassed for the 2018-19 season, a report claims.
On Tuesday, MilanNews.it reported that around 50,000 spectators are expected at San Siro for the game against Brescia.
Their report added that Milan supporters have ‘not lost their enthusiasm and confidence’ in Giampaolo’s new Milan.
Now, the same outlet has offered an update by claiming that Milan are also set to surpass the number of season ticket holders they had last campaign.
During 2018-19 they managed around 35,000 – a figure which has ‘almost been exceeded’ as per MilanNews.it.
The figures over the last two seasons in terms of sales have been a huge upturn from 2016-17 when they only sold 16,450 season tickets, as per ESPN.
That article also states that the record for season ticket sales is 43,140 from the 2007-08 season, when Milan had just won their seventh Champions League.
