AC Milan have an Eredivisie duo in mind as they look to finally fix an area of their squad which has been an issue all season, a report claims.
According to MilanNews, the Rossoneri have begun to focus on two names in particular over the last few weeks to fix their right-back problem: Denzel Dumfries of PSV Eindhoven and Noussair Mazraoui of Ajax.
Milan have picked out Dumfries as he has characteristics ‘very reminiscent of Theo Hernandez’: offensive power and boldness to try and get forward. Meanwhile, the Morocco international national stands out more on a technical level, less explosive but more well-rounded.
The Diavolo though do not have unlimited financial resources, which could lead to preferring Mazraoiu over Dumfries. The Ajax man is not a starter as Sergino Dest has been preferred this season, while Dumfries is the captain of PSV.
If €10million would be enough for Mazraoui, at least €20m would be needed for Dumfries, and though Milan in the last few days have tried to include Rodriguez in the deal for the latter, it has not yet worked.
